Gamelan music and percussion
An introduction to Indonesian Gamelan music. Gamelan is a brass percussion orchestra of xylophones, drums and gongs. We’ll learn to play a simple piece with different layers of rhythms woven together. You can see and hear what a gamelan sounds like here. And listen to some tracks made by Good Vibrations participants here.

Everyone is welcome. You don’t have to have any previous musical experience or have any instruments of your own. All you need is internet access and a computer/ phone to join. We’ll be using some easily found household items as instruments. A pair of headphones is also recommended to improve the sound experience.

This workshop is free and offered on a first come first booked basis. Please get in touch to confirm your place by emailing info@good-vibrations.org.uk at least 24 hours before the session to allow time to send out information.
