Imbal

Imbal

Imbal is a technique normally played by 2 people

One player ‘A’ plays 2 notes for example 1 and 3 by ‘jumping’ over the 2 and uses the play/damp technique.

Using 2 hands the rhythm is:

play 1

damp 1

play 3

damp 3

Player B plays the adjacent 2 notes for example 2 and 5 when the player A is damping

The thing to remember is it’s a rhythm as well as a tune

Using 2 hands the rhythm is:

damp 5

play 2

damp 2

play 5
